Risks - Support for Mentors
- Volunteer mentors will receive initial training from Key4Life and be given a mentoring manual. They will continue to receive training and development for a minimum of 3 days during the mentoring term. It is vitally important you attend the training sessions. They are there to support you.
- Volunteer mentors will be supervised by experienced coaches/mentors with regular supervisory check-ins (these can be by Skype or telephone if needed) on a weekly basis for the first three months and fortnightly thereafter.
- Volunteer team meetings. All area volunteers will be called to a volunteer team meeting in drop-in sessions every six weeks where experiences can be shared.
